Hampshire County Council are proposing to cut up to £1m from the £2.4m budget currently allocated to their Short Break Activities programme in 2019/20.

That would equal a funding cut of over 40%.

They are now holding a 12 week consultation to gather views on their proposed changes to Short Breaks.

The Consultation will close at midnight on Sunday 3 June 2018.  Short Breaks are already operating on a shoestring budget.  Funding cuts will reduce services further.

HPCN urges all of its parent carer and professional members to respond to the Consultation and let the County know how vital Short Breaks are for our families.
