Do you have a child or young person with additional needs? What are the short breaks and leisure opportunities your child most enjoys? Who are the outstanding providers in your area? Now you can help decide which short breaks are funded for 2018/19. For the first time, Hampshire are inviting parent carers to evaluate grant applications for their area using their new online tool, In-Tend rather than regional panels as it has been done in past years. If you choose to participate and complete evaluations for all the grant applications in your area, you will be paid £20 for your views.
Because evaluations are made online, you can participate from home. Simple instructions will be given onhow to enter your views onto In-Tend during the evaluation window of 2 - 30 October 2017.
Additional support and information about Hampshire Short Breaks and In-Tend evaluation tool will be available at HPCN’s October Get Together meetings and from Hampshire County Council who will be available to support you outside of these times.

HPCN members often tell us that caring for their child with additional needs puts enormous pressure on them. They say that short breaks offer vital respite and a chance to recharge emotional resilience. Short breaks also provide the child or young person with a change of scene, different experiences, fun and friendships. We encourage you all parent carers to register to evaluate short breaks grant applications. The more of us who speak up, the more likely we are to see funding directed towards the types of short breaks our families really need on the ground.
SHORT BREAKS MATTER TO HPCN
*The contact information you give us will be held by HPCN and shared with Hampshire County Council for administering the In-Tend Short Breaks Evaluations. All views given using In-Tend will be anonymised to protect the identities of individual evaluators.
